Photoshop 2025 Crashes When Using "Remove Background" Feature

New Here ,
Jan 23, 2025 Jan 23, 2025

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with Photoshop 2025 where the software shuts down automatically whenever I try to use the "Remove Background" feature. This has been happening consistently, and I’ve tried restarting both Photoshop and my computer, but the problem persists.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, could you share any solutions or troubleshooting steps I can try to fix it? I’ve checked for any updates, and my system meets the minimum requirements for the latest version of Photoshop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Gaurav Bisht
Saw this post with no reply. Are you still having the problem?

The issue is listed in Adobe's Known issues in Photoshop page as below:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/known-issues.html#app-crash-with-tools

The solution listed is:
1. Ensure your GPU drivers are up to date.
2. Select the More Stable option from Preferences > Image Processing > Remove Tool Processing

Post how you go with the above?
