Hi there. Hoping someone may have a fix to this issue. Since installing Adobe Photoshop 2025 (Version 26.1.0), all but two of the printer profiles have disappeared from my printer profile options. I've currently been exporting as a high quality PNG and printing them through illustrator, but this is inconvenient. I've spent hours of googling and even reached out to Adobe tech chat, which annoyingly enough, the person I was talk to ended the chat with no contect after about 30 minutes.
I did find that if I copy my ICC file from the spool/drivers folder and place it in c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\adobe\color\settings, the speceific ICC profile and all the missing usual ones return. BUT THEN, they all disappear from Illustrator and I can't get them back there either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This has been driving me insane the last couple of days.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled both Photoshop and Illustrator a couple of times. Didn't work. I also uninstalled and reinstalled my Epson ET-15000 drivers. This fixed it for about a day, then again today, the profiles were missing from Photoshop again. PLEASE HELPPPP!
Using Windows 10 Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5131)
Hello, I encountered the exact same issue today (for the second time this year) and I found a workaround that brings back my missing ICC profiles in Photoshop :

Hey, did you try reinstalling your printer drivers? That seems to have worked for me.

Yeah I did. I reinstalled both the drivers and the ICC profile. It worked for about 2 days, then went right back to the way it currently is. I've still been trying to find fixes but haven't had any luck. For right now I've been exporting anything I need from photoshop to illustrator as a high quality PNG if i need no background, or JPG, etc.

Hi @Chris23214607tjzh and everyone following this thread,
Thank you for providing such detailed feedback and for your continued patience as you work through this issue. It’s clear how disruptive this has been, and I truly understand the frustration of dealing with disappearing ICC profiles, especially after trying various solutions without success. Firstly, I recommend you all update to version 26.2 if you have not already done so. If that doesn't help, then to help address this, here are a few things to check that might help stabilize the situation:
1. ICC Profile Paths: It seems that the profile reappears when manually placing it in the specified folder, but this causes issues with Illustrator. If you’re comfortable, ensure both Photoshop and Illustrator are reading from the same color settings path (c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\adobe\color\settings) (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Color\Settings\Recommended) to help synchronize the profiles between the two applications.
2. Windows Update Considerations: If you haven’t already, please ensure you’re on the latest stable build of Windows 10 or Windows 11. As one user has noted, the issue may stem from specific Windows updates (such as 22H2) conflicting with color profiles. If you find this is the case, consider rolling back to an earlier build or checking for any new updates from Microsoft that might address this.
3. Driver and Software Compatibility: Reinstalling printer drivers is often a step that resolves this, but as you’ve noted, the issue may recur. Keep an eye on any updates from Epson for your printer model, as manufacturers sometimes release patches that can impact how their drivers work with applications like Photoshop and Illustrator.
4. File-Specific Behavior: I’m glad to hear that saving a new version of the file temporarily resolved the issue. This could point to a file-specific issue.
If any of these solutions don’t work or if you continue encountering inconsistencies, feel free to share more details about the exact behavior, and we’ll continue exploring solutions.
Thank you again for your persistence and for being part of the Adobe community!
Best,
Anshul saini

Having the same issue here.
Wishing Adobe would take it seriously!
I run a color critical print shop, this is a MAJOR problem!

I suspect this may have something to do with corrupt/invalid print metadata in the file.
To delete previous print metadata from the file, hold the spacebar when you click "print".
I've been trying to reproduce this on Windows 10 22H2 and an Epson printer. All the profiles are there, both in PS and Ai, whether the printer is on/ready or off. (I have a Windows 11 machine at home and can take a look at that later).

Update for anyone following:
Today I started getting an error that my previous printer information was invalid and may not work with "this version of photoshop" (the latest version). I tried to print, and my ICC profile was still not there. So, I decided to try something simple.
I saved a new copy of the file, gave it a different name, closed the current and reopened. And voila, my ICC profiles for printing have returned. No idea what changed between the previous version of the app and the current one. But whatever I guess. It works now.

Alas... The ICC profile options have returned to Photoshop, but are once again missing from Illustrator... Still no resolutions.
