Photoshop 23.1.1: strange grey boxes + object transformation problems

Since I installed new photoshop v.23.1.1 and updated my Mac to 12.1, strange grey boxes appear around my opened file all the time. Sometimes they appear when I first open the file and they don't go away. And whenever I try to resize an object, the transformation lines around the object remain invisible so I have to guess where they approximately are to resize the object. This all makes very difficult to work on Photoshop...
