Photoshop 23.2 freezes on Windows 10 version 21H2

When I try to edit a photo, photoshop freezes and an the folowing error message appears on the screen: "Adobe has found a (temporary) fix for the recent bug in Adobe Photoshop. Click the link below for more information."
I have followed all prescribed steps to resolve the issue. I have installed the latest version of the drivers for my GPU. But on the compatibility check, I still get the message that the driver is out of date (47 months) and that I need to update.
I do have 2 GPUs on my laptop, one from Intel and one from NVIDIA (GeForce GT 630M). This last one is recognized and used in my Photoshop.

Hi there,

We're sorry to hear about the Freezing issue experienced in Photoshop 23.2

What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? Since when are you seeing this issue?

You may try to reset Photoshop preferences back to defaults and check if that helps. Here's the article for the steps: https://adobe.ly/3ceal5t Also, back up the existing Photoshop preferences if you have any custom brushes, action, and workspace: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG.

Also, check this article for graphic processor troubleshooting: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cc-gpu-card-faq.html

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Hey

The problems started after I downloaded the update to the latest version of Photoshop and also loaded the latest Windows update the same day. Then I started Photoshop and when I wanted to open the first photo, Photoshop crashed.
When checking the GPU compatibility I got 2 comments:
- "Driver update recommended"
- "Driver is out of date (47 months, must be less than 6 months)"
I also noticed that Photoshop detected my NVIDIA GPU card.
I then took the following actions:
- Latest NVIDIA driver update loaded
- Searched for new driver update of my 2nd GPU card from INTEL. however, this turned out to be up to date.
- Then turn off the laptop and restart it.
- Then i did a test but the program crashed again and a new check of the GPU compatibility gave the same error again.
- After that I disabled the INTEL card and did another test, again stuck and again with the same error messages as before.
- Today I opened the links in your answer and went through everything thoroughly.
- I also restored the preferences. but still the same problem.
- When I turn off the GPU, Photoshop does not crash and I can make edits. But when using the camera RAW filter, it does get stuck as expected.
Now it is clear to me that the problem lies with the use of the GPU. But this was no problem at all in the previous version of Photoshop with the same GPU.
I hope you can give me a solution to my problem soon.

Kind regards.
Marc
