Photoshop 24.2 Working Path Line Density

Is the minimum line weight for a path in Photoshop 0.5 pixel? There is a setting showing in the Options Bar as "Other" does not appear to be a way to change the value.

In setting a path for a vector cut line for the laser the line is required to be .001 inch. Adobe Illustrator is able meet this requirement. However would like to be able to keep it in PS.

If you're using the line tool, you'll notice that Photoshop is making a shape layer with a rectangle that is 1 px. If you'd like to create a .001 inch line, you could try drawing the line using the Pen tool and applying a stroke weight of .001 inch.

Thanks, I am drawing out the rectangle, then converting to a working path. In the Options bar on Path there is a drop down to change weight or density Screen shot attached. The lowest setting showing is 0.5 Px. If I am doing the conversion correctly this is .005. I need .001 However, there is another selection "Other" when clicking on this it does not appear to do anything.

The assumption here is the smallest path density is .05 Can Adobe confirm thanks

The Path Options are just to make the path easier to see on screen. As for the Other setting, you can highlight it and enter a value of your choosing within a small range:

If you need to output a line exactly .001", you would be much better of using a vector program such as Illustrator, where you can apply a .001" stroke to the path. In Photoshop, which only deals with whole pixels, you'd have to have an image resolution of 1000 ppi and a stroke of one pixel.
