Photoshop 24 do not work !

Version 23.5.2 works fine but version 24 of PHOTOSHOP crashes when opening a tutorial or a new document !

    Which version of Windows do you have installed?

    Do you get an error messages? If yes, please post the message word-by-word.

    Please post your Photoshop system info.  Goto "Help" > "System Info" and copy and paste that here. 

     

    Please try to disable the option to "Use Graphics Procesor" from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps. 

      

    If you're unable to access Preferences and PhotoShop crashes before that, please go to the location C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 202x. Then rename the Sniffer.exe to Old.Sniffer.exe and try launching Photohsop again.

    If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

    When you say you are not the administrator on this machine - are you in an educational environment or have IT managed services? In either case, you should be able to go back to the person who has administration rights to update your graphics card.

    Also your Intel UHD Graphics card does not meet all the requirements for current PS builds, which could also be part of the issue.

    The minimum speed is 2,000 ops/sec and your card clocks in at 1,083 about half the required speed.

    Turning of GPU resolves some issues but also limits what you can do in Photoshop:

    Hi Kevin,

    As many large, average and even small companies, IT departement, to reduce risks of cyberattack have removed the administrator rights to everybody.

    Updates are managed as batches and it realy complexe to have a IT support for a specific need, for instance, windows is not regonizing but itself that the UHD driver is not the last one.

    Luckily, I suceed to get a special support to update the UHD driver.

    My needs for adobe suite are so fare fine with my equipement.

    In the system info thatyou've send tom me in a private message I'll see that you are using the CPU integrated graphic device.

    What's the hardware that you're using? Do you have an external graphic card like an NVidia card?

    No, I don't have any graphic card, this is my company computer and no external graphic card are used.

    I appear to be fine for my usage (mostly documents, pdf, indesign...).

    You sent me the system info via private message

    I saw two issues. First you are using Integrated Intel UHD graphics with a 32 month old driver. Updating the driver may help, but you may have to turn off the GPU in Preferences Performance

    Second you only have 12GB free on your scratch disk, which is also your system disk. That is not a lot of space and you are likely to run into issues with large files.

    Not I can answer directly in the topic (strage I can't before).

    I'm not in a position to change the driver of the GPU as I'm not the administrator of my computer also microsoft says that I have the lastest driver.

    As indicate by Axel, yes, the solution is for me to turn of the option "Use Graphics Procesor".

    With this it works 🙂

    Which version of Windows do you have installed?

    Do you get an error messages? If yes, please post the message word-by-word.

    Please post your Photoshop system info.  Goto "Help" > "System Info" and copy and paste that here. 

     

    Please try to disable the option to "Use Graphics Procesor" from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps. 

      

    If you're unable to access Preferences and PhotoShop crashes before that, please go to the location C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 202x. Then rename the Sniffer.exe to Old.Sniffer.exe and try launching Photohsop again.

    If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:
