Updated to the new Photoshop 24 and it has issues saving files. It will not let me simple save "command S" a file that I made an edit on. If I already have it saved as example "Image12.psd" and I make an edit to it and save that edit, it has this message that comes up "Could not save as “Image12.psd” because write access was not granted." I have to save it as a different file name. Very frustrating because I honestly do not want 5-10 different files of same image with different names.

Hey, @Candi32809697qjyi. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll move your response to discussions for now. We'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.
Where do you keep the original PSD? Is it stored on an external drive, or in a folder associated to any cloud back up services?
Try creating a new document, saving it in a new location that is on the internal drive & neither of the two above-mentioned.
Let us know how it goes. Thanks!
Sameer K

external Drive. It does it on PSD files. Not TIFF files.
