Photoshop 25.2: Embedded ICC profile is invalid

When opening a TIFF file with embedded ICC profile, Photoshop 25.2 complains "The embedded ICC profile cannot be used because the ICC profile is invalid. Ignoring the profile. [Continue|Cancel]"

Trying to Edit > Assign ICC profile fails as well with error "Invalid profile"

Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.2.0 20231121.r.196

Windows 10 64bit

Last working version: 25.1.0

Workaround: Downgrade to 25.1

Same type of error when I try to assign a custom scanner ICC profile to a TIF image in 25.2. Downgrade to 25.1 allows the function to work.

I have the same error in PS 25.2 also. When opening a Camera Raw file via Bridge I want to apply a profile to correct the way my camera sees the colours, but today PS is telling me that the profile is 'Invalid'. It was perfectly OK yesterday. I have reset the PS preferences and it has made no difference, they are still Invalid. I've just made a new profile from scratch in case the old one was corrupt and it's still 'Invalid'. What else can I try, or is this a bug?

I followed mkubol19's advice and downgraded to 25.1 (I had to re-download it from Creative Cloud). It now works okay so I can carry on with work. Wasted about 3hours and increased blood pressure, which I can do without...

Here's an example ICC profile from May 2022, so some time ago. Worked always flawlessly. Generated by X-Rite i1Profiler.

I'm getting a very similar error when I attempt to Assign a custom scanner profile to a scan. My custom profiles always worked prior to 25.2, and downgrade to 25.1 works for me too. Here's a link to one of my custom profiles...

I just installed the PS Beta 25.4 m2455 and the problem (which was present in prior recent updates) seems to have been fixed. 

However, PS 25.3.1 still shows the problem.

I am on 25.9.1, same problem. When trying to open a raw file into PS, ther icc error shows up. IF I ignore it, the pic opens as a BW pic

I've just updated to 25.4.0 and the issue appears to be resolved. My custom ICC profiles work as before.
