[Photoshop 26.4.1] Possible Gradient Mask Bug?

I recently updated to Photoshop 26.4.1 on Windows 10, and I've noticed that I can no longer create a gradient mask that fades out completely to full transparency. Even when I set the black point of the gradient mask to RGB(0, 0, 0), the layer doesn't fade out as expected and it still remains partially visible.

I've double-checked that my gradient is set to black-to-white, and I've tried different blending modes and opacity settings, but nothing seems to fully fade the masked area.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, or is there a setting I might be overlooking? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Thank you for the reply @bojan

I finally figured it out.  The gradient toolbar had the opacity somehow set to 90%, even though the gradient properties window showed 100%.  It was so easy to miss but I guess we can chalk this up to user error on my part.

I cannot reproduce the issue on Windows running version 26.4.1 of Photoshop. The classic gradient works as expected when applied to the layer mask, transitioning from opaque to fully transparent. Have you tried resetting the gradient or preferences?
