Hello everyone,

Newbie here, this is my first post. I am using Photoshop 7 on Windows XP Pro for creating some Online marketing ads but, Whenever I try to resize an image of any size, my PC locks up. This happens when I use the image resize function, or when I use the scale function. I can resize in MS Photo Editor with no problem. Cutting and pasting works fine, though, even on large images.I am running a P3, 1Ghz, 384 MB Ram, XP Pro, Photoshop 7.I have reformatted and reinstalled XP Pro and Photoshop 7. Butt his same lockup issue arises both before and after the reinstall.Any ideas? please help me.

Any help appreciated!!

Thanks

384MB Ram is your problem.

Photoshop lags, freezes, or runs slowly

If you have so little RAM how are you set up for Scratch Disk space?

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
