Question

Photoshop acts like the SHIFT key is stuck, it's messing with Free Transform and a lot more. Help!

Hi, I don't know what's changed recently, but for some reason my Photoshop CC has become buggy.

When I try to use Free Transform for instance, it'll act like the SHIFT or ALT key is pressed and bug out, even though I'm not holding anything down. It'll also affect other things like trying to zoom, I usually like to just quickly hold CONTROL and SPACE while clicking on the screen to zoom in where I need to go, but it'll make a square selection zoom and hold it until I tap to stop that, it's really annoying.

It's really getting in the way of my work flow. My keyboard is fine, no keys are stuck, it only happens with Photoshop, I also work in Clip Studiop and there's no issues there or any other apps, programs.

I use PC, Windows 10, 64-bit, Photoshop CC 2023, latest update. I also use a Wacom Cintiq and Wacom Intuos Pro with it, could these be messing with things?

Thanks in advance.

For PC only.
Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard > Sticy Keys> TOGGLE ALL OFF.

This fixed it for me.

Yeah it fixed when I downgraded. Hopefully Adobe will fix this/

The problem seems to disappear when downgrading Photoshop to 24.1.1. Maybe not the best solution but a stable older version beats a non-stable new version in my book.
