Photoshop adds copy to file names

Anyone else notice that photoshop is adding copy to the end of file names? I can't get it to save the file as I want. What's up with this? It's wasting time to either edit html to match file name or go to folder and change file name after saving.  Kind of BS isn't it?

Example: File_name.psd save as jpeg = File_name copy.jpg

Do you have the "Save as copy" checkbox unchecked? I don't seem to have an issue with this unless, I'm actually saving a file of the type with the same name.

Oh yes, I can 'save as'.

I can fully use the software because I just ignore the update request ticking the option, "remind me later"

However, my unknown OS version may be different to your unknown OS version and or unknown platform.

If you have layers or an unsupported bit depth, this is correct behavior.
