Photoshop and Illustrator crashing

Sorry about this behavior! All the strange colors and eventual restart of the system could be the system is overheating or perhaps the GPU is starting to fail.

 

You might also double-check that the monitor connections are secure and see if something like that might solve the visual artifacts, but the system restarts might be indicative of a more low level failure such as a driver (bad video card driver, etc), failing hardware (hard disk, video card, etc.) or damaged OS installation.

 

Might have that system checked out!

Hi @Erica25181447j2ei , curious if you have tried:

Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?
