Photoshop and/or Bridge will not open RAW or DNG files
Windows 10 up to todate, Core i7 @ 3.5, 32 gig ram / Photoshop beta up-to-date / Bridge up-to-date
I have thousands of RAW files in the Nikon NEF format. For years I have successfully used Bridge to select and open these files, or I could drag a NEF file to Photoshop and it would open in Camera Raw. Now for reasons unbeknown to me, this process has stopped working
If I double-click on a raw or DNG file, Photoshop opens and immediately stalls; if I click anywhere in the PS Window, I get the warning tone. I deleted preferences and got the same results. I finally have to invoke the task manager to close PS.
The problem is not a newer camera since my newest are D-500s now 10+ years in service.
Bottom line, I cannot open any of my archive RAW or DNG files or new ones I have just shot. I have a major session coming up next week so now I am at my wit's end.
Does anyone have a clue as to what the issue might be. Ten days ago, everyhthing was working perfectly.
Thanks to those who know more than me.
Joe
