Community Beginner ,

I can't download Photoshop brushes. I got the message that I don't have an appropriate app. Can someone recommend what to do?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

You need to have a paid subscription to Photoshop (Creative Cloud). You didn't say if you have one — or not.

Of course, I do:) I have the bundle subscription but started learning Photoshop just resantly. I need specific (watercolor) brushes for drawing, but I can't download them for some reason.

Sorry, @Larisa5C7F , but that has to be the first question!

Your screenshot says "Safari" can't open the .abr file.

Have you been successful with downloading the file from Kyle's website? (again, you didn't say)

If so:

  • You can Load the ABR file from the Brushes panel menu (three lines)
    or
  • you can double-click the ABR file from the Finder

If that doesn't work, tell us where you are in the process. Screenshots will help.

Thank you for your advice.
I actually restarted Ps and those brushes miraculously appeared:)
I am not technically savvy so I have no explanation.
Thanks again, Happy Holidays!
