    Hi Staceyr,

As you've already tried resetting the preferences, Could you please refer to the article below and try doing a clean reinstall of Photoshop?

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

Please let us know about the outcome.

    Regards,

This fixed the issue for me.

    Go to Window-workspace-essentials(default)

If essentials is already selected pick any other layout option.

I have the same problem. From one moment to the other my PS looked like this:

I have tried resetting the preferences first and then did a reinstall but nothing worked.

I have the identical problem. Looks exactly the same. All menu items are grayed out too.

    Please help!

I solved this problem. In my case it was a missing dll file. I simply "repaired" all the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables I had.

If you want to do this as well go to your system settings where you can deinstall software. Then click on the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and click "Change" (not deinstall). Then a window pops up where you can click on repair. Let Windows repair it and that is it. Worked for me. I repaired the 2012 ones and the 2015 ones.

    Hi staceyr,

Please check the minimum system requirements for Photoshop, refer: Photoshop system requirements Also, you can reset the Photoshop preferences and check if that helps, refer: Preferences in Photoshop

Let us know if that helps.

    Thanks,

    Mohit
