hi,
so frustrating.
so many issues with wacom tablet and photoshop cc update.
first of all, needless to say, the fact that it says update but then it gets rid of all your preferences.
what is going on with adobe.
so what is the answer for how the wacom intuos pro small is in complete turmoil with the new update. can't use the pen, can't scroll, can't click.
i've wasted hours and hours and hours reinstalling drivers with the tablet but it appears the issue is with adobe.
but adobe will say the issue is with wacom.
apple blames both adobe and wacom.
does anyone know what to do to make everything normal again.
how do i get the previous version of photoshop?
or is there another answer?
HELP!
anthony
Okay I have fixed it. Well this is what has worked for me.
Uninstall the latest driver on your machine.
Then go to Tablet Drivers | Wacom Asia Pacific Customer Support
download the driver that is a little older. Install and restart.
Booooom sorted. I am not going to do anymore updates. It is way to unstable.

So many issues with the latest Wacom driver...
Cannot Zoom/Pan on the wheel
Cannot use Shift click with brush tool to make straight lines
Cannot Shift/Click=Shift with Magic Wand Tool
And then......the pen tracking stopped all together. Touchpad works; pen doesn't.
I've uninstalled; reinstalled; checked all settings...... I guess I need to revert back to an old driver.

Doug,
I've been dealing with this for several days. What I've found is that the Wacom drivers react very differently to each Sierra update. (10.12.0, 10.12.1, 10.12.2)
Sierra 10.12.1 with Wacom driver 6.3.19-10 (from Dec. 27th 2016) works. It works with a Cintiq 22HD on a MacBook 2015 with a 2.5 GHz processor and 16G RAM.
Sierra 10.12.2 with Wacom driver 6.3.19-10 does not work: Stylus intermittently loses ability to click not just in Photoshop, but in any finder or app window. Rolling back to older Wacom drivers didn't work for me.
I know this is the Adobe forum, but if you are using CC, CC is not the problem.
My solution: Roll Back the OS. If you create an Apple developer account, you can get Sierra 10.12.1. Save everything on your hard drive. Wipe the drive and do a clean install of OS 10.12.1. Then copy your data over manually. You will have to re-download CC, recreate your apps and prefs, and copy over your data manually. I tried to revert the OS, and then restore using Time Machine, but there is something in the home drive that is permanently messed up in 10.12.2. This is the only thing that worked for me.
The person who created this thread topic (Anthony Cioppia) never said which version of Sierra he was running, but I'll bet it was 10.12.2. Apple will prompt you every day to update the OS. DO NOT do it.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for the detailed explanation! I appreciate that. There was one previous Wacom driver that worked perfectly with my current setup, but I can't seem to find the older drivers on the Wacom site. I can roll back the OS, but I need to finish this commercial project first before getting into all of that. Thanks again!

I have the same problem as previous three posts. Pen-function freezes and have to restart computer. Zooming is really skipping and totally un-smooth and spinning picture is out of controll. Have spent the last week on this instead of being "creative2 like in the wacom ads, lol......sad...

It helped zooming some, tho. To go into preferances in PS, then to tools, and fiddle about with the zooming options there.

Hello everyone, I just recently purchased the intous pro small and have fallen plague to all of the issues listed. I have reinstalled several times and am on the most recent driver and Mac os. I've been looking into high end retouching for quite sometime and this puts a stop on the way I intended to go about it.
I also have the issue in bridge. It starts right after I start using an express key to dealete an image.... then the pen cursor issue starts followed by loss of the control wheel, The gesture control fades while still being able to navigate with fingers.... then that stops working.

I am trying to use my Wacom Intuos 4S with Photoshop CC 2017 and Fireworks CS6. Most functions work fine, except the eraser is treated exactly as if it were the regular tip. I.e. the Wacom eraser doesn't work in Adobe applications.
This feature has worked for so many years, it is quite disappointing to find it broken now. Especially given that the whole idea of paying $50/month to Adobe for life is to get better, more quickly updated software.
Corel Painter X3 works as expected; eraser erases, tip does whatever tool selected for tip does.
Wacom Properties clearly register the eraser as different (i.e. in the Erase pressure sensitive setting, the tip doesn't register, while the eraser does).
This would seem to indicate it is an Adobe issue.
I tried with Windows Ink on and off with the same results.
I started off the night with very old drivers, prior to installing the newest (6.3.20-5), so reverting to previous version doesn't seem a likely answer...

I have had this problem one both my iMac and Macbook Air after downloading Adobe CC 2017.
And it is definitely not limited to use in Adobe apps.
It first started to happen on my iMac - using Sierra 10.12 - the pen would not click properly in windows, randomly double click when I didn't want to, select a whole list of files in finder when i only selected one, not be able to click on another dialog box when one was open. Super annoying. And even more annoying when using Photoshop itself.
I thought the problems was the Intuos3, so I went and bought a brand new Wacom tablet. But that did not work. I reinstalled my OS and reinstalled the apps, and different wacom drivers the problem still persisted. The only way I can work with it was buy having an Apple mouse connect and when the tablet wigs out I click the mouse and the intuos works again. This was my iMac....
Working on my Macbook Air I also had Sierra 10.12. (I haven't updated to 10.12.3 yet). Now my laptop was working totally fine with my Intuos 3 using Adobe CC 2015 versions of Illustrator and Photoshop. Until yesterday when I downloaded Adobe CC 2017 version of After Effects. As soon as I had this 2017 version installed my Wacom tablet began behaving the exact same way it was stuffing up on my iMac. I then uninstalled After Effects 2017 to see if it would go away but it hasn't.
I don't know what to do, but it seems like the problem only started when I downloaded any of the apps with Adobe CC 2017
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm currently working with my touch pad and it sux !

Hello, Excuse me for my bad english, I'm french. I had the same problem with intuos pro and sierra 10.12.3 and all adobe products. I've just solved this issue with a basic manipulation. Go to system preferences / mouse and select the maximum speed for double-clic. And for me it works well. No more randomly double-click and so on. I hope this will help you. Before finding that I have reinstall many times wacom drivers (I have tested 6 of them), reinstall also OS Sierra. Now I have the 6.3.19-10 wacom driver on Sierra 10.12.3 and all adobe CC 2017, and it works well.

gemmao,
my problem is solved, with very little help from adobe and wacom. the issue is with wacom. they do not coordinate with adobe. probably not really possible but they should because of all the adobe cc subscribers who use wacom products. i solved my problem by removing the last wacom driver update completely then reinstalling the previous driver. also, i went back to the previous photoshop build. i still refuse to use the latest photoshop update because i lose all of my workspaces and i have many of them.
what i've learned is that i will not update adobe apps as soon as they are available. i don't know how long to wait but i will try in a month or so to see if wacom got it's act together to remove the bugs.

I just installed Sierra 10.12.3 and started using Photoshop CC. Now the brush makes a jagged line when zoomed out using my Intuos 3 Wacom tablet.
Any idea what driver might work? The newest drivers do not work with the ancient Intuos 3.
Thanks

I know this is "answered" already, but I found a reddit post that was made for cc 2015 but worked for me on cc 2017 (so long as you are a windows user).

This worked for me and I got pressure sensitivity working again in photoshop. I knew it was not a wacom issue considering the same drivers and what not work in Gimp and the wacom program itself.

Experienced numerous issues with cloning/healing tool in Photoshop CC 2017 and Wacom tablet connected. Mac Pro (late 2013), Sierra, Photoshop CC 2017. Wacom Intuos5 L touch (PTH-850).
Issue solved:
1. Uninstalled the latest Wacom driver (dated 4. April, 2017).
2. Downloaded older driver from Wacom: Intuos Pro Support | Wacom | Direct Link (WacomTablet_6.3.15-2.dmg, 96.2 MB, Intuos3 (PTZ), Intuos4 (PTK), Intous5 (PTH))
3. Restart
4. Open PSCC17, voilà! Issue solved.

Believe it (there is no, 'or not') 27 Apr 2018,and the compatibility problem persists.
When I use my wacom pen to use the PS 'pen tool' I get all kinds of neurotic behavior. For example: set anchor point (1), then go to lay down a second anchor with a slight bezier (the whole point of the pen tool, right?) but when I touch down to drag out the contour of the curve, PS responds by repositioning the image in the view window. As if I were holding down the 'space' key while dragging.
Before the updates (that fix what?) everything worked fine.
Why can't these companies get past their proprietary nonsense and think about the needs of the paying customers(remember them, guys?), and work out these - left hand don't know what the right hands doing - kinks together.
I'm not a shade tree, weekend warrior, software engineer. I shouldn't have to be. The product should work as advertised. I don't pay these people for the cheap sense of accomplishment that comes with solving their engineering problems, or coming up with clever work-arounds.
FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!!

Hi
You've replied to a 10 month old thread with an issue that was introduced a couple of weeks ago by Microsoft in an update.
Microsoft have now issued a further update to resolve the issue they created :
Cannot paint with stylus when zoomed in on image | Windows 10
