Photoshop cc 2018 screen tearing when zooming out

Hi,

I have recently downloaded Photoshop CC 2018, and whenever I zoom out from the section I have been working on (length of time varies) the screen will tear leaving behind a section of my image down the right hand side. As seen below:

It is extremely annoying as I have tried everything (and this is the second time I am posting this question to get an answer). I’m using a Windows 10 PC with 16GB of RAM. I have done the following:

Photoshop is up to date

Graphics card is up to date

Wacom driver is up to date

Performance is now sitting on Basic

Reinstalled Photoshop

Restart PC multiple times

Is there anything else I can do to fix this issue? The only solution so far is to change screen modes which is not ideal.

What Display Adapter and driver do you have on your Windows 10 machine. Do the tear in floating windows. I use floating windows editing images  and have never seen a problems like you have with my Nvidia  4000 or Quadro k2200 display adapters  with GPU setting Advance.  I also have not updates  to the latest display adapter available Device drivers for I do not have any problems with what is installed.  If is not broke why install a newer driver they may have a problem with support for newer display adapters.  My Adapters are not the newest adapters Nvidia market. July 13, 2017 is the latest one I installed.

So I have checked my driver again. The reason I did update it is that it was doing this screen tearing on the previous driver prior to the update (so please don't tell not to fix something that's not broken I was still having issues then). The driver prior was late 2017 (can't remember the exact date).

As for my working structure - working in full screen with side bars as this is my preferred way to work (have been doing so for years), this issue will happen in any screen mode, toggling between makes it go away for a few minutes before it comes back.

I apologise for coming across as annoyed in this message - but I have done everything to fix it and it is really starting to irritate me, I just want to be able to use Photoshop as smoothly as everyone else.

Hi nicacolalite,

Sorry for the tearing you're seeing when zooming out in Photoshop CC 2018.

Are you using 19.1.2?

What is your Windows Display Scaling % set to? Make sure it's set to a multiple of 25, that may help.

Does setting the GPU to Basic help?

Do you still get this tearing if you disable the GPU in Photoshop entirely?
