How do I set it up so that when I go into 3D the 3D ground plane, 3D secondary view, 3D lights and 3D selection are showing? I have to go and click on them in the Show menu (under view) every time I want to use 3D.

Also unrelated to 3D, Why won't my guide lines snap when I pull them down from the top or side?

thanks for any help you can give me. I such a noob!

Open a blank document. Tick anything you want to be visible under the View > Show menu, then close out of Photoshop. after that everything you have ticked should always be ticked an open a new document and click create from the 3D panel.

you can also save your workspace as a name... this is handy for senarios where the defaults don't work correct i.e, school systems
