Ok here's the deal: I run two different versions of photoshop: Elements 12 and CC 2017. Both versions are on Windows 10 systems.

Problem: I can't drag and drop portraits into a premade template when running CC.

I"m sure this has been covered before but can' y'all point me in that direction please??

Thanks a ton!

You can drag and drop most file formats right in to photoshop cc 2017, but they have to have been saved to a file type. Another way you can do it, is to copy everything with in the photoshop elements template and then paste it in a photoshopcc 2017 new psd. But I have never had luck with just dragging and dropping a crossed programs.

Hope this helps!

That would help...sorry.

Dragging a portrait from CC to a template opened in CC.

Original template was made in Elements

How are you dragging and dropping - 2 windows opened in Photoshop CC, side by side? What is happening that it doesn't allow it... have you tried dragging and dropping the layer instead of from the image window?
