This is my first post to a forum like this, so please let me know if I'm making any mistakes.
Today I tried to open a PSD file using Photoshop CC, but where I would usually see a folder full of PSDs, all I saw was an empty folder with that said "No items match your search." I realized this was because where I would usually have "all files" or "PSDs" selected in the filtering box beside the area where you can type in a file name, I had "Large Document Format" selected instead. When I expanded the list of document types to select "all files", no such option was available. "PSD" wasn't an option either. I've tried closing and reopening Photoshop, which didn't help. I only started having this issue this morning right after I updated the program to version 20.0.5. Has this happened to anyone else? Do you have any solutions?
(Here's a screenshot in case I haven't explained the situation well:)
Hi,
The issue was that the "." or "all formats" option did not exist in the filter box. Thankfully after restarting Photoshop several more times, the issue resolved itself.

Hi Mack,
It appears (to me) that you have filtered to “.ply”. Try “.psd”. Does that work? Also, what do you see in the same folder when you look in Window File Explorer?

Hi Jane,
Unfortunately the issue is that ".psd" isn't an option when I expand the list of file types. My cursor just happened to fall on ".ply" when I was expanding the list to show that my list is missing the PSD option. To Answer your question, I'm able to see PSD files when I open the same folder in my file explorer outside of Photoshop, so I think the issue has to do with Photoshop specifically.

The question is what do you see ins the filter box. We can not see what is in your for your screen capture has some popup over it showing PSB. You want All file formats *.* in there to see all the files in a folder.

I was just about to suggest that you quit and relaunch! I'm so glad you solved it.

Are you sure it was not in the list. That list is scrollable not all entries are visible at once.
