Photoshop Corrupts Its Own Preference Files

Cory, Unchecking the checkbox for Spring-loaded tool Shortcuts did the trick. The tool shortcut keys now work properly. Thank you. The other problem to the original image in Photoshop overlaying on top of a DxO/Nik plugin is weird! I thought I solved it when I manually reset the Preferences, but it was back the following day. I originally thought this to be a PS problem, but now I am not so sure. The problem goes away after several seconds of clicking on the plugin's window.
