Question

Photoshop crashes 2-3 times daily

I've stopped opening extensions, changed the preferences on my graphics driver on and off. It doesn't make a difference if I'm using the latest version of PS or an older version. Everyday it stops working and shuts itself down. Some days as many as 4 times. I'm using a Windows 11 desktop PC with 64gb of DDR5 ram,  a 12th gen intel processor (i9-12900K)  and 3TB SSD-my computer is more than equipped to run large files in PS. I'd love any theories on why this keeps happening and/or possible solutions. Thank you!

Try resetting prefs first, but this sounds like it might be a hardware (memory) issue from what you describe.

When Photoshop crashes, this is the first thing to do, try resetting your Photoshop preferences. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings. You can also reset preferences upon a quit if Photoshop is running by going into General Preferences>General>Reset on Quit.

If that doesn't fix the issue:
Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Multithreaded Compositing - and restart Photoshop.
Still crashing?
Go to Preferences > Performance... click Advanced Settings... and uncheck "GPU Compositing" - then restart Photoshop. Still crashing?
