Photoshop working ok until I download a ICC Profile.  When download complete Photoshop ok until you select print then is freezes or program shuts down.  Lightroom works ok.  The only way to stop this problem is to delete the ICC Profile.  It worked before until recently.  Tried on another computer and the same occurs.  Photoshop updated.  Anyone with similar problems or help they can give.

Looks like the issue with ICC profile. As PS is working fine when you remove it.

Try with another ICC profile

Hi Nancy

Thanks for your reply. The Photoshop i use is the standard one which comes with my annual subscription including Lightroom. I'll have a look at it tomorrow and get back to you.

It might be worth resetting your Photoshop preferences.

Hi Derek

I'll also give that a try because when I'm having the problem if I delete the profile on occasions the problem remains so I delete PS and reinstall it. That sorts it except I haven't got the profile I was after.

I suggested resetting the Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in Photoshop preferences — not deleting a profile.

Hi Derek

Have now reset the Photoshop preferences as suggested. PS appears to now

be working ok and not freezing when selecting 'PRINT'. Its appeared

similar to what you would describe as back to factory settings and just

like it was when I first downloaded/updated it. As we have just got

visitors I have not yet tried to download a Profile which will be its big

test. Will keep you updated.

Hi Nancy

I have gone into Photoshop preferences via edit and what a difference. PS

has gone back to when I downloaded/updated it and it appears to be working

well with no freezing or crashing. The big test is when I download a

profile/s which I hope to have time in a couple of days.(When I return the

grandchildren). Unfortunately prior to receiving your email I had deleted

the profile, which I thought had caused the problem. Many thanks for your

help. I will keep you updated.
