Photoshop creates erroneous folder structure for synced brushes

Photoshop (v. 24.1.0, on an M1 Mac Mini) creates "phantom" folder structures (that I did not create), to house synced brushes. Many brushes are thus duplicated. Periodically I delete the extras and reorganize, but the duplicates return. Is this a bug in the Photoshop software, or something specific to my system or account (All aps)?

Hi,

Although I don't have a solution for you, I do want to let you know that I have had the same problem when I start using or importing my brushes and presets into an update of Photoshop. So, be encouraged, it's not just you. Hopefully someone will have an answer!

Mine does that too - I finally just deleted all of it. I had so many duplicates. It's working just fine and they haven't come back.
