Photoshop CS5 program won't open when clicking on photo in files

When I try to open a photograph in a file, this message comes up. Then it just shuts down

    I’m sorry of that, but you should indicate your OS and version, the Photoshop version (as CS could be CS 1 or any CS version) and please indicate also what you changed to the system. Any CS version is an old one, so I suppose that something necessarly changed to your system.

    Windows 7, CS5 Phoroshop

    Cs5 and Windows 7 should work together.

    May be restting the preferences in Ps will help. Look here: Preferences in Photoshop
