Photoshop CS6 crashes at startup

I have just installed Photoshop CS6 trial and it crashes very often at startup (with windows error reporting message). I disabled plugins, GPU but no luck. What can i do next? (Ps CS5.1 worked fine)

    I've tried all the common solutions and some of the less common of them, but the problem is the same.

    I noticed that from time to time, after the error, Ps restarts with the error message "Ps encountered a problem with your graphics driver... So GPU was disabled..."


    Studied Windows Crash Reports and found out that WinTab32.dll was the culprit. So i uninstalled Wacom Tablet, reinstalled and... Voila! It works! I hope that this information would be helpful for others also.

    Is Photoshop 32 or 64-bit? (Or both)

    Verify recently installed programs/drivers in the last month in Control Panel.

    Ensure that you have virtual memory properly set (depending on RAM size), but not disabled.

    Eventually post hardware config and programs here.


    It's installed from Creative cloud, so it's both, there was no option for only 64 bit installation, I'm using the 64bit version of PS and it is the one crashing. From Creative cloud I also have installed AfterEffects, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro and Flash, and they are working fine so far. Also just few days before it started crashing there was wierd bug in the Character window -- for any font it was repeating 3 times the different styles -- for example on Arial there were 3 times regular, 3 times italic, 3 times bold, ect...

    I have 5 gigs of RAM, and virtual memory is enabled and also set to 5 gigs.

    The only recent program install is update of Firefox to version 13.

    I'm runing Photoshop on a laptop with nvidia graphics and optimus. The defaul GPU for PS is set to nvidia.

    Here is the system info from PS, with the same preferences prior to the beginning of the crash issue, reseting them does not help.
