When you launch the software it should come up with the Activation window where you enter the serial number.

If you are getting an error when launching check the following link.

https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html

If you've recently purchased CS6 - mostly likely you've been scammed.

Otherwise you can try this process to migrate the license/SN to your account:

Not a useful reply, I need a way to GET the serial number via the PRODUCT  code. I wasnt scammed, I know what I purchased. Getting a serial number out of a brand new copy of this software seems almost impossible.

You most likely were scammed if you just bought this. There is no "brand new copy" available. The activation servers are no longer active.

You need to contact Adobe but I dout there is a way to get a new serial number - support for this software ended a long time ago.

If you've previously activated there is a way to pull that activation code from your purchase history on Adobe.com and your account settings.

Either way contact Adobe support via https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

Activation servers for CS6 are still active. However everything else said in reply to this thread is correct. CS6 has not been sold for years. When it was available the serial number came with the sale unless purchased as a download direct from Adobe in which case it would be in your online account.

Sorry I misspoke - I meant by "activation servers" is the server that generated the activation codes from the product code.

Adobe says they still support CS6 activation but calling support said they dont.  Any way to get this activated with serial number?

Also note that the link that was removed by a moderator is not an Adobe

site. It's in the format of "[sitename].com/adobe", instead of "adobe.com".

that was a real adobe site found on adobe documentation used for activation of the 22 digit PRODUCT codes. and for everyone saying it was likely a scam because it isnt sold new, i am WELL aware of that. I was given this brand new copy of said boxed software that didnt have a broken seal on it. i just need to know where to activate the [removed by moderator] product, i dont need your advice on if ive been scammed.

@ DarkFire14

Keep your language civil.

Boxed software had the serial number inside on the case/envelope for the physical media. You can try Adobe support if you do not have it.

The word [removed by moderator] is civil, also you are just flat out wrong, jane is correct though it is to verify eligibility as a student/teacher. Saying all boxed software comes with a serial is completely wrong. Anyways, thank you jane for your actual USEFUL comments [removed by moderator]. Have a wonderful day!

Hi

Thanks for coming back on that @DarkFire14 . I did some research and it's not an actual Adobe site — instead it is a third-party provider that Adobe does use for eligibility verification.

I read the five links on the page and the site seems to be about verifying eligibility for the educational discount. I didn't see anything about redeeming a product code. There is a "Contact Us" button on their site.

We can't help with billing on this forum. All we can tell you is that CS6 is no longer being legally sold and to contact Customer Care at the link Kevin gave you earlier.
