Question

Photoshop CS6 not working with macOS Catalina

I have the full adobe CS6 suite from 2012 approx and I've recently updated my macbook pro to Catalina and subsequently I have not been able to start up any of my adobe products. Has anyone else had these issues and had any success with sorting it? Thanks.

Part of the Joy Of Mac is that Apple's updates force you to get rid of those old fashioned apps and buy new ones. It's the Apple way!

Hi there,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop CS6. As mentioned by Dave, Photoshop CS6 is not compatible with macOS Catalina since macOS Catalina does not support applications with 32-bit code.

Please check: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-and-macos-catalina.html#ArelegacyorperpetualversionsofPhotoshopcompatiblewithmacOSCatalina

Regards,

Nikunj

Hi, is there anything that can be done to salvage this at all?

The only option you have is to revert to OS to the version that it worked on

Only the latest versions of CC are supported for Catalina.

I got a problem like this on my work laptop. Try and redownloading the Adobe Suite. Also, try updating your Adobe or Photoshop to the latest update. Hope this helps!

Hi there, did this work for you? After reading the below comments I am now worried that I will never be able tp use my adobe suite ever again.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you almost certainly won't ever be able to use Creative Suite ever again. I think you maybe took my reply as a joke.
