Question

Photoshop CS6 serial number corrupted?

I purchased a student/teacher licensing copy of CS6 while in art school in 2012, and have had it installed on my macbook ever since, but I'm switching to a new laptop and am having issues reinstalling it now. I can install the software from the discs but can't activate it, when I enter the serial number I have registered on the Adobe site I get the error that "serial number is invalid". Support tried to activate the software via remote access but still no dice, so I was directed to post the issue here.

I'm just looking to reinstall & activate Photoshop. I don't know what to do, the serial number I have is valid, so I assumed I would be able to reinstall on a new system with no issues.

Is you new Laptop a mac or windows machine.  Perpetual cs6 serials are for one platform.  The alsi seems to be some issues installind old version of Photoshop on Mac Mojave. Do a search if you have Mojave.

Here are some steps to solving this issue. Chances are there are leftover or corrupt files blocking activation.

Error: "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Adobe Creative Suite
