Photoshop displaying Direct X 11 error when I'm running version 12

I'm using a NVIDIA Quadro M1200 card. When I start up Photoshop, the app displays an error showing I'm running version 11 and version 12 is required. When I check my version in the NVIDIA app, it shows I'm running Direct X version 12. Can I just ignore this error and assume Adobe will fix it at some point?

Not an error. If you scroll through this, or check DxDiag, you'll see "Feature Level 11.0" throughout - which is what matters here:

Yes, this can be very confusing - but DirectX version is the API "language" that the GPU and driver speak. Feature Level is what the GPU can actually do, what functions it's able to perform.

Hi @ronh91133106 Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

And Photoshop currently calls on some very advanced functions, so it needs support for the full feature level. Or close to it - the current PS requirement is 12.0, but most recent GPUs provide 12.1.

@IbaadNaeem

The fix is to install a GPU that supports Direct X 12 with Feature Level 12. Read the reply from @D Fosse for details.
