photoshop doesnt work with my graphicsprocessor

since some time I have the problem that photoshop 2021 has huge lags and especially the lasso tool is nearly unusable. Then I tried activating the use graphics processor option. But now if I want to anything but to use the brush tool a program failure appears. So my only options are working with huge lags or don't work at all. 

my graphics processor is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 idk if this is needed to fix
