How can i give that smart object later that same blue coat effect, i been trying overlays and blend options, hue and saturation layer but i can get it to look the same.

Thanks

Hi, You make make these effect using the mask on that layer and by using the blending option to use that effects.

Basically in the first image they use a blue tech related background and then apply some shadows on the vector object  so you can do the same.

1:- Select the Brush tool and select your foreground color black or whatever you want and then choose a blury brush and decrease the opacity and make a new layer and apply on the object. While you play with opacity it will show you the effects.Screenshot_5.png

hmmm. i am not articulating myself correctly. that just paints color and apply a blending mode on top. i want to give the smart object the save color (Blue) but in different tones. as in replace all of the colors the vector art i purchased has and give it a blue color scheme all from photoshop. I can only think that i would need to go back to illustrator from the smart object and recolor from illustrator.
