Question

Photoshop file icon is not showing

Hi team,

Due to low memory issue, I had to uninstall all the photoshop versions. Once my machine got free space, I had installed latest version, but the photoshop icon is not showing on file and its giving me this error (attached). Its showing file type as Photoshop.Image.20. I had uninstall and re-installed the application once.

To edit the file, all I need to open the application first followed by dragging the source file everytime 😞

Please give me some solution.

Hi

When you right click on the PSD and select Open With do you see this option

If not select Choose another app and then select More apps

Next click on Look for another app on this PC and put a check mark as showing

Browse to this location C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2022 and select Photoshop.exe and click on Open

Thank you Ged_Traynor!

Unfortunately, when I right click on file > open with , it doesn't show me popup to choose the apps, instead it give me same error showned in my attachement (windows can't open this type of file)
