Your Mac hardware may happily run Mojave, my 2012 one does (I'm pleased I updated from High Sierra). It means, though, that I am stuck with Photoshop 2021 v22.5.2.

I hope someone will chime up and tell whether that version can still be installed? It seems to be available to download here: https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2019-direct-download-links.html

However, one quite important issue with older Macs is the lack of security updates from Apple. They only support the current versionand 2 older ones, so that means (frustratingly) Catalina as minimum to get security updates.

I hope this helps

I love Macs and how long lived they are, but the frustrating part is they live so long that they can't take newer OS updates.  I understand why they don't send security updates for older OS past the last 2 interations. Especially now, when resources are stretched so thin when no one is in the office at Apple. I also understand why the newer OS aren't usable on older machines, as it becomes more advance, its going to be increasingly stressful on older machinery, running the risk of completely bricking the device. Its why I never updated my older Macbook Pro that I ended up giving my 9 year old daughter. It's a late 2013 and I just recently updated to an M1 Air, and I know the 2013 model would have issues with Monterrey, so I never bothered updating it.  And seeing what happened when Apple switched from Power PC to Intel,  once the switch to Apple Silicon is complete,  there would probably be a year or 2 of OS updates left for the Intel machines.

Apple supports computers typically for seven years after they are discontinued.

Last year I did an upgrade cycle from 2011-era machines to a pair of 2015-era. I still have my 2011 MacBook Pro which I'm running Mojave on with an install hack. I'm hoping to be able to upgrade to M1 machines but the M1 MacBook Pro config I want is $3800 so... ouch.

High Sierra is no longer supported by Apple, if at all possible install at least Catalina to keep getting security fixes.

As far as I know, @ProDesignTools is one guy. I've never heard him say that he has a team. But yes, it's a great service from a great guy!
