Photoshop freeze/hang when multiple input language is used. Windows 10.

Photoshop (latest) freezing for users with Chinese input language installed (and English) . Photoshop is semi-responsive, buttons show to be pressed but nothing happens. sometimes switching between languages fixes it.
Reinstalling PS doesn't solve it.

resetting PS %appdata% doesn't solve it.

multiple users having the same issue -- only users with multiple language input/chinese seems to be having this problem.
Issue is very random but some users are able to replicate it within 5 minutes .

Shortcut to switch input languages is default (whatever it is in Windows).

Latest GPU updates (latest RTX 5000)

Is this a known issue?

I have the same experience for over a year now and I haven't see any effort from Adobe to address this issue.  For now I think the only solution is to switch to a much older version, maybe 2019 or 2015? wonder if Adobe offer those for free now, which I think it's only fair.  Do your job, Adobe.

I'll do ya one better: just straight-up pirate the older versions (2020 was the most stable imo), and avoid the shite bugs that Adobe seems determined to avoid like a rabies-infected animal avoids water.

Or even better: open-source alternatives.

This is still broken. I work at a Japanese company where we have to use both J&E in our photoshop files and the entire studio has been cursing nonstop for months. Unbelievable this hasn't been fixed.

Hey there! I'll help you figure this out.

As per the descriptions, the issue might be related to a known issue with since Photoshop 25.6 & Microsoft IME.

Please head here to learn more about this: https://adobe.ly/3RcKQry

If the issues exists, try using Photoshop (beta) and check if that helps.

Thanks!

"Revert to an ancient version of IME" is not a long term solution. What is it going to take to get anyone to escalate this?

A temporary fix is to change the Key Sequence which changes the languages in Windows. So by default it is Left Alt + Shift. So since we use those keys and switch from them very often in Photoshop, that causes the languages to switch to Chinese. Which is great if you're not using Photoshop and it wouldn't crash. But a fix would be to change that Key Sequence to something else, or just choose Not Assigned.

From start menu, tyupe in "Advanced keyboard settings". Open the settings and click on the blue words "Language bar options". Go to "Advanced Key Settings" tab. There you can change or disable the hot keys. I clicked on the first one and clicked on "Change Key Sequence..." and there I disabled it for now. Thanks!

I am having this same issue. It only causes problems with Adobe right now. Photoshop especially. No other app having this issue I know about. Please fix this. Thank you!
