Photoshop freezes during 30-60 mins when launched from Lightroom

I run the latest versions of PS et LR classic on a brand new W11 PC with U9 processor.  When I launch PS from LR (Edit in PS 2025) PS freezes during 30 to 60 mins. There is processing going on with with approx 6% of the power utilized by PS. After this freeze the image finaly opens.

This makes the integration between LR and PS unusable.

Have you experienced the same issue?  How to fix it?  Note that I have already reinstalled the two products but it has no impact.

Thanks for your help.

Have you specifically reset preferences for Photoshop and Lightroom Classic as per Axel's links above?

Corrupt preferences usually looks like application bugs. The preferences contain a lot more than your own user settings, it's the whole application configuration, including lots of hidden and system-dependent parameters. A complete reset - moving the whole settings folder to the desktop so a new one can be built - returns the application to clean, out-of-the-box factory state.

What happened if you start Photoshop first and the send a image from Lightroom to Photoshop?

Do you get any error messages? If yes, please post the message word-by-word.

Try resetting the preferences of Lightroom Classic:  How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences (adobe.com)

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

Also try resetting the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

It's recommended to backup your settings before resetting the preferences.

See here:  https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#backup-photoshop-preferences

If this doesn't help, please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the Photoshop menu item Help > System Info. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.

I have done a full Windows reset and reinstalled both PS and LR, starting with PS as advised by Adobe support. It works a bit better, meaning I can open an image 50% of the time. Whether PS  is already open or not does not make any difference. I never get any error message.  A workaround is to select PS as a secondary external editor. It works well but the integration is slightly different. For instance a psd or tiff file is created even if I don't save in PS.
