Photoshop freezes on launch (mac)

Photoshop freezes on launch and restarts the computer. This has been an ongoing problem for 5 months with no resolution from adobe yet. I can get it to open in safe mode which I know sometimes tells you that the problem is the graphics card but I have no other issues with the computer. Everything else works correctly. This past Friday I increased the memory and photoshop worked all day without issue. Opened right up. I opened and closed it multiple times as well as rebooted the computer a few times and photoshop opened as it should every time. However, this morning it is back to its old tricks and nothing has changed since Friday other than shutting it down for the weekend. Continually freezes and restarts the computer. Have tried multiple times this morning.

Through this process I have also completely wiped and reinstalled the os and adobe to no avail. This happens all the way back to CS6. I have tried everything, recommendations from adobe and what I have found online and nothing seems to remedy the issue.

So, a little more research and removed the sniffer file and photoshop now works without issue. Has been for about two weeks. Just updated and had to remove it again, opened right up. I never considered the sniffer file a issue before because that file seemed to cause problems for the PC users. However, last resort and removed it and it worked. Very disappointed in the tech help!!! I have had this crash issue since the beginning of the year, with no real help from tech!!! They always told me they were looking into it and would call me to let me know how things were progressing, but never did!! So, if you're having a crash issue with photoshop on launch rename or remove the sniffer file!!!
