Photoshop has Black Screen

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me with my situation I am having. When I open photoshop I am used to being directed to the home screen where it says "Create New" or "Open" and where it stores all my projects, but now when I open it up all I see is a black screen.

If anyone can help me solve this issue asap that would be great! Thank you.

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?
