Question

Photoshop History Log: specification?

Photoshop offers a history log with different levels of precision (concise, detailed etc.). I am looking for a documentation that specifies what kind of log times exist for this history log and how they are recorded. Any clue where I can find this? Many thanks!

Undo/redo and history in Adobe Photoshop

  1. From the Edit Log Items menu, choose one of the following options:

Sessions OnlyKeeps a record of each time you start or quit Photoshop and each time you open and close files (each image’s filename is included). Does not include any information about edits made to the file.

ConciseIncludes the text that appears in the History panel in addition to the Sessions information.

DetailedIncludes the text that appears in the Actions panel in addition to the Concise information. If you need a complete history of all changes made to files, choose Detailed.

Yes, but I am looking for a technical specification of the format of the history log. Which variables exist that are logged, what are their names, what are their attributes etc.?

What is this about really?

As per the Reference »Detailed« provides the information that one could read own the Actions Panel after recording an operation in an Action.

Would that suffice for your needs?

Why would you need a list of variables?
