I have read posts from 2021, 2022 about problems running Photoshop in Windows 11. Can anyone tell me whether there are issues running the most current versions of Photoshop in Windows 11?

my issue has been since may june 2024. i use beta versions of both Illustrator and Photoshop and have been now for years i guess and yes I have win 11 an d do keep things maintained (updates as needed for apps & OS) but i keep it minimal. My issue is that file explorer runs high and photoshop in a sense freezes up / gets stuck and by using task manager, I "restart task" for file explorer and thats exactly what gets PS running again. so I thought maybe it was a RAM issue since I run a RYZEN 7 4800U with 3 monitors and share 32 gigs of memory for graphics and yes, I can run it high with never a problem before. Im not to big into playing around with the settings often but only when its set , its set and thats it.. Let me know anythin g I could try. Thanks

Yes I am having problems with Photoshop and Windows 11.

The software freezes if you click File_Automate_PhotoMerge if that wasn't bad enough it also freezes if you type Help_ System Info... and you can't say that that's a processor dependant task or memory related problem. Both of these actions work fine in Lightroom.
Same thing happens if you disable all Plugins, Run as Admin etc., etc. and if you run the compatability test when its crashed it won't even open.
Well done Adobe this fault has been known for months yet you do nothing!

Please try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

If this doesn't help please check if your system is up-to-date. Do you have installed all recent updates and patches for the operating system and the device drivers, especially the graphic driver. If you have a NVidia graphic card installed, make sure that you are using the recent Studio version of the driver, not the Game Ready version.

Provide also a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the Photoshop menu item Help > System Info. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.

If this isn't possible please type 'msinfo' into any OS search field, and then share the results here.
