Photoshop is shutting down with Nvidia Geoforce MX150

I just got a new HP Spectre 360 and it has a Nvidia Geoforce MX150 card and photoshop keeps shutting down after couple of edits or just randomly!... Anyone has a solution for this?.. thank you

It's always good to search for the specific GPU with issues like this, because any fixes are likely to be GPU specific.  That means both within the forums, and with Google

In what has to be the first advantage I have seen with the new forum platform, it actually show related links at the bottom of the thread

  1. Go to Edit > Preferences > Performance. 
  2. Remove checkmark from Use Graphics Processor (see screenshot).
  3. Hit OK.
  4. Restart Photoshop.

  • Do you have all the latest updates for your OS?
  • Do you have the latest drivers for your graphics card?
  • Have you opened your Windows Event Viewer / crash logs to see which faulting module is causing Photoshop to crash?

I do have all the updates installed and yes there is nothing in events at this point. I had HP review the log as well and no reports were generated
