Photoshop is yellow tinted on Windows 11

Photoshop looks yellowish when Win11 HDR is turned on. For instance, the launch screen looks like this:

I've searched on the internet and found a couple of posts reporting this issue, such as: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/photoshop-yellow-tint-with-hdr-enabled/td-p/13788213.

It says that this has been fixed by a Windows update, but the problem remains on my computer. My Win11 is up-to-date with version 22H2 22621.1928. My Photoshop is 24.6.0.

Yes my monitor supports HDR and I set it to the HDR400 mode. I'm working on a game project which exploits HDR in its runtime. I don't work on HDR images directly in Photoshop, but turning it on and off repeatedly is somewhat annoying.

@CShubert They only suggested me to turn off HDR when using Photoshop😅 It's a workaround so far, but I'd prefer to have it fixed if possible

I was having the *exact* same issue as you, also win11, also a Dell Monitor using its driver-supplied profile, also having huge yellow tint over all the PS UI and contents that didn't transfer to exported things but was annoying.

I found in the properties this was somehow checked by default. Once unchecked and restarted, PS behaved properly again with HDR mode on too. Hope this helps, if you didn't already run into this solution yourself. Stumbled on your post while searching for the solution myself.

Hey @CShubert! I have only set my monitor to HDR400 and other settings left to default. I just bought it 2 weeks ago and didn't change anything about color correction, gamma, etc. My Windows is using the only color profile for this monitor.

I just tried the manual steps but still had no luck.

@WizcasChen what is your montior setting/situation, possible corrupt monitor profile?

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

@mglush Unfortunately, none of the above methods work... I've tried both checking and unchecking the Deactivate Native Canvas before and after resetting the preferences, but Photoshop is still not displaying correctly...

BTW, my GPU is 3080TI, display Dell U2723. Do they matter?

One of the other community experts recommended Deactivating Native Canvas in issues relating to Displaying things in Photoshop. Go to Preferences>Technology Previews and uncheck Deactivate Native Canvas. Restart Photoshop, and see if that fixes the issue?

And, have you tried resetting your preferences? If the above does not work, then you might want to try that option. Here is a help doc to walk you thorugh restetting them (do it manually and back up your old prefs before you do.) https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#reset-preferences

Is it just the opening screen or your workspace window? When you see the yellow, does it also show outside the Photoshop window?
