Photoshop keyboard shortcuts not working with wacom tablet

I am running Yosemite and Photoshop CC and using a Wacom intuos pen. The problem is that the keyboard shortcuts doesn't work like the toggle for foreground/background color or the keyboard brackets. I have troubleshooted with Wacom and installed several drivers and none work.

Wacom support suggested to try the tablet on another computer and I did, another Mac at school works just fine with the tablet.

I have tried to contact Adobe but they don't answer. The IT from school can't help. The school Mac is running on Sierra but I can't upgrade my computer OS because other programs I have won't be compatible. If anyone has suggestions on what to look at I will appreciate it.

    Hi Camilamejia,

We're sorry to hear about the keyboard shortcuts not working, could you please let us know which exact version of Photoshop you're working on?

As you've already tried some basic troubleshooting steps, could you please try enabling the root user account on the Mac Os and test Photoshop on that account, and let us know how it goes?

Steps to enable root user: How to enable the root user on your Mac or change your root password - Apple Support

    Regards,

    Photoshop CC version 14.2.1 x64

So to test if it works on that user and what do I do if it works/ doesn't work on that user?

    Thanks
