Photoshop lag when using any type of selection method

Hi everyone,
when in photoshop i select smothing on the image the selection (marching ants) start flashing and suddenly photoshop starts to lag and being slower.
This appens only when i use the selections tools, i've tried lot of things to solve this issue and i noticed that if i deselect the gpu accelleration this issue disappear but just for the first time so i haven't found a fix.

System specs:
- Hp Zbook g3
- windows 10
- i7 2.60 ghz
- 16 gb ram
- nVidia Quadro M600M (latest drivers)
- Photoshop CC 2017.1.1

How large are the files you are working on? Have you tried changing your Performance Preferences?

I work on files that usally doesn't exceed 100mb, this appens on every image i work with, even 2000 x 2000 resolution jpeg files.
Yes i've tried playing with performance preferences but without results. I let photoshop use 70% of ram and 100% of GPU

EDIT:
I wave a dual monitor set up (laptop + external monitor) and i noticed that this issues happens only on secondary monitor
