Photoshop Laggy Zoom/Scroll and Brush Lag in Windows 10

I've been having this issue with Photoshop 2022 where my Zoom/Scroll feature works almost perfectly and but the brush lags a lot with a noticable delay. I saw some fixes online with the performance tab but none of  them fixed my issues unfortunately. Weirdly enough, I turned off the check for the use "graphics proccesor" and all of a sudden the brush works perfecly with almost no lag/delay at all but the zoom/scroll feature is very laggy and very slow framerate. Ive been on this mode for recently because i very much prefer no brush delay over zoom but it really bothers me that everything else is slow and my PC ram is enough for the program and it sucks seeing everything work perfectly for everyone else painting and im struggling. I even tried using an older version of Photoshop with less computer requirements and the same issue prevailed. Any Help?

ps. Ive already tried the PSUserConfig txt thingy. and the cache level, and turning of windows ink

Tablet: Wacom Intuos S

Proccesor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz

Hi there,

We're sorry to hear that you see a lag while using the brush and zoom tool in Photoshop.

Which version of Photoshop are you using currently? Do you see this issue only while connected to your Wacom Tablet, or is it general? What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far apart from disabling the graphics processor?

Please check if your graphics drivers are up to date or not?

Also, try these steps: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html.

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks,

Ranjisha

I am currently using ver 23.0 and the zoom lag still occurs even without the wacom plugged in, and Ive also tried resetting my preferences but that also didnt solve it. My Intel Drivers are up to date or at least there are no updates available and same goes for the AMD side, they apparently no longer support it for updates on their website. I also disabled animated zoom, turned on Legacy C. but nothing is working. Some said the rulers were the issue but i never had them turned on anyway. I also changed the cache level to 2 then 4.

Please update to a later version or go to "Preferences" -> "Technology Preview" and disable the "Enable Native Canvas Rulers" checkbox. That should work.

Unfortunately in version 23.2.2 the clone stamp tool is laggy again, when hitting the Alt-key, it begins to stutter again...
