PHOTOSHOP LASSO/RECTANGULAR MARQUEE/ZOOM TOOLS NOT WORKING PROPERLY.

When I try to select with the lasso tool it selects random wacked out lines. When I use the rectangular marquee tool it is locked into random rectangles with each selection, same with all marquee tools. When I use the zoom tool it zooms out to the maximum and the workspace is 1mm across.

I have had this issue for years and gave up finding a workaround. My only option is to restart 5 to 10 times a day. This has happened on every new release since 2019. Can't to roll back to last working version as my company uses the latest version. I HAVE A FRESH INSTALL OF PS Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.1.1 on a new computer. This problem I am having is the same for 4+ years on different PC setups.

Any way to fix it?

Hi @David30024680vamq everything appears ok except your drivers are well out of date for your GPU. You should update those.

After that try a preference reset:

Hi @David30024680vamq Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

If you can update to the latest PS build release 24.5 and then go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”.
