Photoshop layout looks like Lightroom on Mac

I usually use windows but I just recently got a MacBook period. I downloaded Adobe Photoshop and the layout very similar to Lightroom. I am not getting my original full screen Photoshop and I have no idea why? I need help. Also I'm a dummy to MacBooks, I feel like I'm learning how to use a computer all over again.

The RAW file opened in Adobe Camera Raw, which is similar to LR.

In the bottom right corner, either choose Open Object to open the image as a SO or click the dropdown arrow for other choices.

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Photohop forum so that proper help can be offered.

This answer is not correct, and reads like it was generated by AI.

@jane-e’s answer is 100% correct. The screen shots posted are of Adobe Camera Raw, which automatically opens when you select a raw (or other compatible) file to open from Photoshop. It says so at the top of the window shown in the screen shots. After you click the Open button, Camera Raw will process the file and pass it on to Photoshop, which opens next.

Hi Conrad, was there another post that has since been removed?

Yes, what I said about the incorrect answer sounding like AI was about a reply that’s no longer in the thread. The account who posted that reply has been deleted since I last looked at this thread, so all their replies are now gone too. I tried editing my earlier reply to make that clearer, but the system won’t let me apply changes to a reply to a deleted post.

Sorry for the confusion everyone, the incorrect AI-like answer was deleted so I certainly do not mean jane-e’s post sounds like AI…jane-e is the one who knows what she’s talking about! 🙂
