Hello,
I had a problem with Photoshop as it kept rebooting itself before the 2024 update. I got annoyed so I reset Photoshop. Not a great idea as I now cannot find any of my previous 'defined patterns'. As a print designer, this is beyond annoying. I just wondered if anyone knows if they would be saved somewhere and if I could get them back into my Photoshop. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Kelly

Did you explicitly save them to a .pat file in the past?
Otherwise I don't hold much hope, but you may find a old copy of the Patterns.psp preference file in a Time Machine backup:
~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop 2024 Settings/Patterns.psp

Hi Stephen,
Thank you for responding and I see you are right, the patterns in PS are not coming back. Luckily I do have my own tile files but while looking into .PAT I have found a few extra features so thank you for pointing this out. Although it didn't solve the problem, it will teach me to double check they are saved as .Pats as well.
Hope you have a great day!
Kelly
