Question

Gracias.

If you choose "Edit in Photoshop..." in Lightroom the image has never been opened in directly in CameraRaw, but always in Photoshop. Lightroom takes over the function of CameraRAW here.

You don't have wrote about the versions of Lightroom and Photoshop that you have installed and also infos if you have installed Photoshop Beta or not. So it's hard to say more about your issue.

Please tell us more about your system and the installed version of operation system and applications.

Do you get an error message? If yes, please post the message word-by-word.

Without the appropriate information, I suspect it could be the problem which is decribed here:

Hello, and thanks for your answer.

I have to say that until a few days ago, Lightroom opened raw files directly in CameraRaw, so now I'm surprised that it doesn't do it.
I have the latest versions (not beta) updated and I use MacOS Ventura

Hello, let's see if anyone can help me. Since recently and I do not know why, Photoshop does not directly open CameraRaw when I use the "edit in" option from Lightroom, opening the program directly.

From Bridge when editing the photo it does open CameraRaw.

When you send a raw file to Photoshop for editing, it will open silently in Camera Raw, where Lightroom edits are applied to a new file, derived from the raw file. (Lightroom and Camera Raw use the same processing engine) Then this new file opens in Photoshop.

The Camera Raw step of this procedure has always happened behind the scenes.

If you send a tiff to Photoshop, with the option Automatically open TIFFS with settings enabled in the Camera Raw preferences, the Tiff will open in Camera Raw. The same thing applies to jpg files.
